The Biotron2 series liquid nitrogen storage refrigerators combine Wessington's renowned engineering and vacuum expertise with Biotronics' electronic control and logging expertise to provide the very best in Cryostorage.

The vessels are manufactured in polished stainless steel with counterbalanced lockable lids. High standards of materials and workmanship provide very low liquid nitrogen losses.

The Biolog electronics uses pressure tranducer technology to provide easy to set up level control and alarms - just key in the required parameters in centimeters.

Alarm functions are provided as standard for:-

• Top Sample temperature too high
• LN2 level too low
• LN2 level too high
• Vessels taking too long to fill
• Mains Failure (uses inbuilt battery backup).

All alarms provide visual and audible alarms at the vessel, plus external contacts for an autodialler. All alarms and functions are internally logged in the controller for printing by the operator as required.

Options

Optional Gas bypass valve prevents disturbance to stored samples when large LN2 boil off occurs due to long pipe runs.

Optional secondary stop solenoid provides protection against overfilling of vessel should the primary solenoid not be able to close properly due to debris in LN2.
